Newark and Sherwood District Council covers a third of the landmass in Nottinghamshire and encompasses Newark, Ollerton and Southwell as well as a large number of villages.
As a local authority, Newark and Sherwood District Council provides a range of services including leisure and cultural facilities, parks, gardens, revenues and benefits, community safety, CCTV, emergency planning, sports development, waste collection, recycling and street cleaning.
The Council spends approximately £15m per annum on goods, works and services and also has a Capital budget that varies each year depending on available resources.
